The ASSET4 system contains in-depth information on the world‘s leading companies, including the S&P 500, MSCI Europe and FTSE 350. In 2008, ASSET4 will be covering the entire MSCI World Index.

Objective, Public Information

ASSET4 gathers all its information from publicly available sources in order to provide a level playing field for all companies we evaluate. It is widely expected that additional regulatory frameworks, like Sarbanes-Oxley, will continue to foster even more corporate transparency, thereby creating even greater sources of information. Our objectivity is also supported by the fact that there are no conflicts of interest within ASSET4, since we are not paid by the companies we rate and do not manage funds. We are only focused on providing comprehensive, objective and impartial information to our users.

Transparency and Quality

ASSET4 is the only research information company that provides users with complete raw data sources and content (e.g., text, title, page number, URL and publisher) for all data points, thereby ensuring that the information is auditable, traceable and completely transparent.

Every answer to every data point question goes through a multi-step verification and quality control process that begins with our researchers, who are organised by industry, collecting the information. The information is then validated by a second team organised along economic, environmental, social or corporate governance perspectives ensuring the highest quality for our users.

Flexible Framework

The ASSET4 system integrates the information collected from the over 900 data points we track into a default equal-weighted framework containing 250 key performance indicators, organised in 18 categories within four pillars covering economic, environmental, social and governance performance. This default structure is pictured below.

However, this is simply a default structure. Users are able to completely customise the organisation, weighting and rating of the ASSET4 information to seamlessly incorporate it into their standard investment processes.
